Dr. Thelma T. Daley is a distinguished leader in civil rights and community service. She served as the 16th National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She also served as the 8th National President and Chair of the National Council of Negro Women. Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Daley has been a steadfast activist and advocate for social justice.
Dr. Daley’s groundbreaking achievements include being the first woman to chair the National Advisory Council on Career Education and the first Black president of the American School Counselor Association. She also held significant leadership roles as president of Women in Community Services and as national director of Women in NAACP.
Driven by her commitment to civil and human rights advocacy, Dr. Daley continues to inspire others through her dedicated service. Her contributions have profoundly impacted communities across the nation.
